After a call of approximately 5 minutes I have to say that the performance of the Teams client is much better, than it was before in terms of video redirection. I don’t think setting the policy in Teams management portal will make a difference. Content sharing just controls permissions from what it looks like. And the Display configuration basically tells the RDP client software where to throw the display. Nevertheless, they might work on this in a future release of the product. For now, we have to set the settings with “single display” and work from there.

The only thing I have gotten so far is a work around, since there is no solution according to what you are telling me and what MS is telling you. When you maximize to all of your displays, the rdp client spans across all of the displays. If you then share your screen from Teams, it will share all of the displays, as we know hence the reason for this post.

Now, if you exit out of maximized mode, it will then auto rescale the screen share in Teams to only the single display. So if someone is presenting, they can use this as a workaround, but will have to only use the app on the single display for the time being. By the way This is a complete nightmare for me. If media optimizations loaded, the banner will show you Azure Virtual Desktop Media optimized. If the banner shows you Azure Virtual Desktop Media not connected , quit the Teams app and try again. If media optimizations loaded, the audio devices and cameras available locally will be enumerated in the device menu.

If the menu shows Remote audio , quit the Teams app and try again. If the devices still don’t appear in the menu, check the Privacy settings on your local PC. Disconnect from the remote session, then reconnect and check the audio and video devices again. To join calls and meetings with video, you must also grant permission for apps to access your camera. Using Teams in a virtualized environment is different from using Teams in a non-virtualized environment.
