Later that day, my PC blue screen crashed. But not only that day, it happened in the following days too. They started appearing more often so about 4 days ago I decided to make a System restore point, 2 days before everything started happening.
It was ok for that day, but again, I got more blue screen crashes the following day. I just started ignoring them a bit very bad move by me and started playing CS:GO to not think about my PC possibly being broken. However, one time, it crashed while in a match and when I restarted my PC, I couldn’t join back in the game, so I went to steam support and made a ticket.
The next day, today, I got a response from them and they suggested that I try to reach out to Microsoft support because they found out that I was having way larger issues other than just not being able to reconnect to the game that Steam support can not fix.
That’s why I’m here. I bought my PC about 9 months ago and I haven’t had any past problems with it. If there is anything else that would be important to know please do make a comment! I hope I said about everything important for the beginning here. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? What is the make and model of the Motherboard? You can refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running? Refer the article Start your PC in safe mode in Windows Refer the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting. Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.
However, it would be great if you could upload the files on OneDrive and share the link to us. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I also just tried booting the PC in safe mode and as I expected, nothing happened. My PC only crashes at random times and I don’t know how to test if it crashes again only if I just wait a few days after doing a potential fix.
I’m having a bit of trouble uploading the dump files to OneDrive. It says ‘You don’t have permission to open this file’ when I try doing so. Dragging them also doesn’t work. Thank you! First I want to say we have 2 people here with computer and network degrees and have done most of the problem solving that we would normally get told to do.
Either the computer has a black screen that says there is no operating system found or we get the Blue screen that says your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you. One computer keeps getting both of these errors and the other 4 just the blue error. But when we finally get them working they work fine until another error happens. Just now all we did was plug in a bran new thumb-drive we just bought and unpacked and the first thing that happened was the Blue screen.
This was the 5th computer to have this error. This was also the first time this computer ever had the error. All from just plugging in an empty brand new thumb-drive. The 4th computer was one we didn’t use since December of Today we turned it on and first thing it did was the Black Screen saying no Operating system found. We knew it had one for the last time we used it, it ran perfectly.
So it got turned on, got an update and crash. After 5 computer resets with 2 black screens and 3 blue screens we decided to reinstall Windows and maybe wipe the drive.
But decided to do some research first and found a bunch of posts in multiple websites with people claiming to have the same problems, so now we don’t know what we should do.

I just tried it once again and it couldn’t find any other corrupt files. However, that time I did it through Windows Powershell. We have 8 computers all with Windows 10 and 5 of them keep doing strange crashes. In reply to Are4YT1’s post on August 25, Hello, I would like to come back with an update. The problem is not solved yet and I don’t know what to do.
The blue screen crashing has gotten way less frequent however I still get blue screen crashes every 2 days and some weird stuff has been happening lately, for example, yesterday when I wanted to shut down my PC, I clicked on the button to show the shut down, restart, sleep menu and my screen went black and flickered a bit. I shut down my PC and next morning I turned it on. My GPU couldn’t be recognized by any application until I updated the game ready drivers.
Later that day I couldn’t see the notification hub, select the sound output or press the windows key or click on the windows logo in the bottom left. It only worked after I restarted my PC. One more thing, when restarting my PC, everything connected with a USB to the motherboard literally just disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects, for 2, 3 or even 4 times.
I haven’t seen any response suggesting a fix for this situation in quite a while. I also didn’t understand about finding the section ‘How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot’ so I can identify what was causing the blue screen errors. I think my last resort in case no one responds with a potential fix would be to just reset my PC and reinstall windows. Thank you for your help and if I don’t get a response in a while I will reset my PC and update you on the situation.
