Last year I bought Office ultimate as part of a UK Student deal, I downloaded the whole thing and installed with my Activation Key which was sent to my university e-mail, and a little while after I got the installation CDs for Office but Activation Key printed anywhere. However, after a certain number of days, my university e-mail inbox auto-clears itself to get rid of clutter something beyond my control as a student and this got rid of my Activation Key and reciept.

I had to wipe my hard drive a few months back, which meant I had to do a clean install of Windows 7. When I re-installed office, the activation wizard asked for my Activation Key, which I don’t have.

I clicked the help box which directed me here obtain lost product key , I was then re-directed to here contact product activation centre which told me to use the activation wizard to find out who to call Except that the activation wizard had only two buttons, continue and help. Continue would carry on the install without the key, and leave me with reduced functionality versions of everything as I had already used up my “trial version”, and help is what I clicked on in the first place.

So I tried using a different microsoft activation wizard slui. My question is how do I activate Office if I don’t have my activation key? I have my bank statement detailing the transaction in lieu of a reciept, and the installation CD with a datestamp of purchase.
