I was using Microsoft Office for the last 2 years. I didn’t even try to uninstall or change it when this problem occurred. I was trying to uninstall some unused software like Maple, Lingo, etc.

The installation gives an error saying the ” the installation failed due to an error” once i click ok it says ” Microsoft setup bootstrapper has stopped working”. I have tried Fixit to repair issues including corrupted registry keys that block to install or uninstall prog. Tried a program that removes office completely including from registry ending up with same error. Please advise as ive been experiencing this on 4 of my windows 7 machines under domain.
